Ahead of School Reopening in Kashmir, Traffic Police Issues Statement

Srinagar, Feb 26: With the reopening of schools in the valley after the winter break looming ahead, authorities at Srinagar’s traffic police department are all set to navigate the smooth passage of school buses within the city limits.

Despite the ongoing infrastructure developments by the Srinagar Smart City initiative, which have presented challenges to commuters across various parts of the city, the traffic police remain steadfast in their commitment to ensuring unobstructed traffic flow.

Speaking to news agency, SSP Traffic Srinagar, Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, affirmed their readiness to address the hurdles posed by ongoing projects, notably the drainage works affecting traffic along certain corridors.

“As schools gradually reopen and exams approach, our top priority remains facilitating hassle-free travel for everyone,” Shah stated.

Highlighting the impact of ongoing Smart City projects, Shah acknowledged the difficulties arising from drainage work in particular corridors. However, he assured that measures are in place to mitigate these challenges as schools resume their operations.

The traffic police have strategically identified areas presenting commuting obstacles and devised plans to streamline traffic movement, prioritizing the safety and convenience of students and commuters alike.

This proactive stance aims to minimize disruptions caused by ongoing infrastructure endeavors while safeguarding the smooth functioning of daily commutes within the city
